G&B DESIGNED & BUILT

The 26’ gaff sloop, MARTA, is a milestone for Gannon and Benjamin as she’s our first boat with electric-auxiliary power–a 48 volt Electric Yacht Quiet Torque 10 that may be charged with solar panels or plugged into a dock. Marta is a nimble daysailer with basic overnight accommodations for “pocket cruising.” Her jib and mainsail are self-tending and may be set and lowered from the spacious cockpit that seats six. The backbone timbers are purpleheart, the stem live oak, and the planking is wana and cedar, with silver bali coamings, toe rails, and brightwork.

ARTEMIS

In 2015, a customer approached us for a larger version of Celeste, a canoe-stern centerboard sloop that we launched in 2003. The result is ARTEMIS, a 31’ gaff sloop which can be easily handled by two. Her cypress interior sleeps four with an enclosed head, and aft galley. She takes a chop with ease, performs well to windward, and her cockpit seats six adults. Her Irish Kelly-green topsides turn heads.

SHELDRAKE

The 19’ Sheldrake is a downsize of Nat’s design No.1, the 25’ Canvasback. With similar plumb stem, counter stern, but with a less sail area and no centerboard, she is easy to single-hand and quick around the buoys. Six or eight adults can rip around the bay or lounge in her wide open cockpit. Informal sailing at its best.
